U.S. CPSC Recommendations for Consumers

These recalled John Deere tractors were manufactured in the United States and sold nationwide at John Deere retailers in the U.S. from September 2010 to August 2011, for between $3,000 and $4,000. The manufacturer of the tractors is Deere & Company, of Moline, Illinois, and the manufacturer of the engines is Kawasaki Motors Corp., USA, of Grand Rapids, Michigan. According to the U.S. CPSC, consumers should stop using the recalled lawn tractors immediately and contact a John Deere dealer to make arrangements to have the engine cooling fan replaced. The CPSC has notified consumers that it is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product, like the John Deere lawn tractors. All registered owners of the tractors involved in the recall will be directly notified by John Deere.
