Defective KidCo Portable Travel Tents

The PeaPod Travel Beds and PeaPod Plus Travel Beds manufactured by KidCo are small, portable sleeping tents marketed for use with infants from birth to 3+ years, depending on the model. The recalled travel tents have a zippered side designed for putting in and taking out the child, and include an inflatable air mattress that is inserted into a zippered pocket underneath the floor of the tent. The PeaPod tents fold up into a compact round shape and come with a bag for transport and storage. The recalled travel tents were manufactured in China and sold at independent juvenile specialty stores across the country and online at, from January 2005 to present, for between $70 and $100.

PeaPod Travel Tents Affected by Recall

The following PeaPod model numbers, which can be found on a tag located on the underside of the travel tent product, and corresponding tent colors are affected by the CPSC recall:

  • P100 – Teal
  • P101 – Red
  • P102 – Lime
  • P103 – Periwinkle
  • P104 – Ocean
  • P201 – Princess/Red
  • P202 – Camouflage
  • P203 – Quick Silver
  • P204 – Sagebrush
  • P205 – Cardinal
  • P900CS – Green

According to the CPSC, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled PeaPod tents and contact KidCo for a free repair kit.
